The Picture Library in the Tata Central Archives consist of photographs
of various Tata Companies taken by the Public Relations Department as far back as 1943. The Tata
Trusts have also provided many photographs of the Tata Family, Tata Houses etc. These
photographs are classified according to the different companies, philanthropic institutions
and personalities.
The Archives also contain photographs of Jamsetji Tata’s birthplace at Navsari, including
one of the rooms in which the Founder was born.
The photographs of J. R. D. Tata also form one of the important collections in the
Archives.
